Wizz Air Sofia Marathon 2026 will take place on October 10 and 11, expanding its format with a richer program, new participation opportunities, and an even better overall experience for runners.

On the first day – October 10 – the shorter and mass participation races will take place: the 10K Garmin Run and the 5K FIB Mass Run, which traditionally attract thousands of participants. On October 11, the long-distance races will старт: the classic marathon (42.195 km), the half marathon – 21K Address Run, as well as the new discipline – the 2 × 21 km relay, allowing two runners to share the marathon distance.

Beyond the races themselves, the event will once again bring vibrant energy to the city. Music stages will be set up not only in the start–finish area but also along the course, supporting runners and creating a dynamic atmosphere throughout the race. The traditional marathon expo will also return, featuring a variety of brands, products, and services relevant to runners of all levels.

Participants can expect a wide range of prizes and surprises from partners and organizers. At the same time, Wizz Air Sofia Marathon continues its commitment to sustainability by reducing single-use plastic and promoting more environmentally responsible practices.

Registration is now open, with early bird prices available until April 30, 2026. Regular registration will run from May 1 to September 20, 2026, while late registration will be available only if spots remain. A new feature in the registration system allows participants to track in real time how many slots are still available for each race.

For teams and groups, a new registration functionality has been introduced, making it easier to sign up more than five participants at once by uploading a list and completing payment via bank transfer against an issued invoice. Group discounts are also available as follows: 5–10 participants – 5%, 11–40 participants – 10%, 41–99 participants – 15%, and over 100 participants – 20%.

With each edition, Wizz Air Sofia Marathon continues to evolve, aiming to deliver an even better experience for both runners and the city.
