In support of the participants and spectators of the 42nd Wizz Air Sofia Marathon, the Sofia Municipality will provide Metro Lines 1 and 4 to operate on a weekday schedule on October 12, 2025 (Sunday).

The start/finish area is located in close proximity to Serdika I and Serdika II metro stations, allowing access via both lines – a convenient and fast way to reach the event.
We encourage all participants and their supporters not to use personal cars in order to avoid congestion and traffic buildup in the central city area.

For participants arriving by plane, the metro is the most convenient option for travel from Sofia Airport, as Terminal 2 is directly connected to the metro, providing easy access to the city center and the start zone.

Cheer for the runners along the route!
At key points across Sofia there will be music stages, creating a lively atmosphere and perfect spots for friends and family to support the runners. Many of these locations are easily accessible by metro:

• Stage in front of Arena Cinema on Todor Alexandrov Blvd. – metro stations Konstantin Velichkov or Vardar
• “Tunnel” stage in Lyulin district – metro station Vardar
• Stage near “Billa” store in Lyulin 8 (turnaround area) – metro station Lyulin
• Access to Chavdar Bridge – from Hadzhi Dimitar Metro Station (Line 3). This is one of the most emotional spots along the course, where crowds traditionally gather with signs and applause to cheer on the runners.
