For the first time, participants in Wizz Air Sofia Marathon will be able to track the remaining available spots for each distance in real time. The information is available directly on the registration page of the official website and is updated dynamically.

The goal is to make the registration process more transparent and convenient, giving all interested runners a clear overview of the available quotas and the opportunity to plan their participation in advance. Once the distance reaches its capacity, registration for it will be automatically closed.

In 2026, Wizz Air Sofia Marathon sets even more ambitious goals, with a total of 11,000 race entries announced and distributed as follows:

• 1,500 participants in the 42 km marathon (bib numbers 1–1500)
• 3,500 participants in the 21 km half-marathon (bib numbers 1501–5000)
• 4,000 participants in the 10 km race (bib numbers 5001–9000)
• 2,000 participants in the 5 km race (bib numbers 9001–11000)
• 300 relay teams

A new addition to this year’s program is the relay race, introduced in response to strong interest from runners, expressed through our participant survey. The Wizz Air Sofia Marathon 2026 relay will be held in a 2 x 21 km format, starting on October 11, together with the other long-distance races.

Early registration is open until April 30, 2026. Regular registration will run from May 1 to September 20, 2026, or until all spots are filled. Late registration after September 21 will be available only if there are remaining spots.
