On October 12, Sofia will once again move to the rhythm of the marathon. For the second consecutive year, the course of the Wizz Air Sofia Marathon will be lined with music stages that will lift the runners’ spirits and turn the day into a true celebration of sport.

This year’s edition will bring together more than 8,000 runners from 66 countries, while spectators will enjoy a diverse musical program – from traditional Bulgarian rhythms and jazz to rock and DJ sets. The entire city will become a stage, with Knyaz Alexander I Battenberg Square at the heart of the event.

Organizers are inviting all Sofia residents to come out along the course, cheer for the runners, and be part of the biggest running event in the capital.

08:45 – 09:00 – Opening ceremony, main stage at Battenberg Square – Chinari Ensemble
09:00 – 15:00 – in front of the Russian Church – ASICS cheering zone
09:50 – 10:50 – Stage at Arena Cinema – Teddy Velvet Trio
09:50 – 12:00 – Stage “The Tunnel” in Lyulin – Chinari Ensemble
9:30 – 13:00 – Stage at Billa Lyulin – rock band “Moro & Korenuvane”
10:00 – 15:00 – Stage at the Monument of Levski – DJ Ivan
09:00 – 13:30 – Stage at St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral – ENERGY DJ BUS – Radio ENERGY will energize all participants and spectators with the biggest hits from the 90s to today, along with special ENERGY giveaways.
10:00 – 15:00 – Stage Hadzhi Dimitar/Chavdar Bridge – DJ and majorettes

The marathon route will become a colorful musical map of the city, where sport and rhythm merge into one. Wizz Air Sofia Marathon 2025 will be more than just a race – it will be a shared experience that unites thousands of people through movement, energy, and community.
